HOPE Chautauqua is a substance use prevention coalition. We envision a healthy, drug-free community where all residents have an equal opportunity to reach their full potential. Our mission is to create an environment where all youth can develop into healthy and productive adults through the promotion and implementation of healthy lifestyle choices and the use of evidence-based, community-level substance use interventions. The HOPE Chautauqua Coalition is holding its first-ever Virtual 5K, Run for H.O.P.E., to bring family and friends together during this time of uncertainty. Proceeds will go to strengthening the coalition's prevention efforts in a multitude of ways. Projects such as the Prevention Mobile Unit, youth engagement events, future fundraising events, and educational substance use prevention games & activities are expected to resume in the upcoming months. This funding will assist the coalition in its endeavors without any financial barriers. Please run with HOPE to help us help you!
When you Run for H.O.P.E., you are running for Healthy Opportunities for Prevention Education!
START/FINISH
Our 5K run will be virtual this year! That means you can start and finish, run or walk, in the comfort of your own neighborhood.
EVENT LOCATION
You get to choose when and where you wish to run using the honor system. We highly encourage you to use the FREE IYR Virtual App that will automatically track and map your route for you or self-enter your results online at any time through the month of May.
REGISTRATION
Online registration will remain open through the last day of the race. There will be no option for paper applications.
PRICING
$25 Virtual 5k with T-shirt Registration through 4/10/2021
Includes a t-shirt of your size choice. (Sizes will be unisex.)
$20 Virtual 5 without T-shirt Registration through 5/31/2021
Does not include a t-shirt.
There will be an additional $3.25 processing fee for every participant registered.
Example: 1 participant is $25.00 + $3.25 for a $28.25 total fee.
TECH T-SHIRT PICK UP DAY
Friday, April 30th, 2021: Register online prior to your arrival. We will safely distribute race materials from 8 AM – 4:30 PM.
If you would like a tech t-shirt and are unable to pick up, please contact us via email.
PRIZES
1st, 2nd, and 3rd fastest times will receive a $25 Amazon E-Gift Card
Every Saturday (starting the 8th) we will select a random individual who has completed that week and they will receive a $10 Amazon E-Gift Card. Time will not matter as this is random so feel free to walk if you can't run!
TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Race participants can use the ITSYourRace platform to view and share "finish line" photos with family and friends for free on Facebook. Custom finisher certificates can also be downloaded from the results page at no charge!
CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to the upfront nature of event costs, all entry fees are non-refundable. All participants acknowledge and accept this policy during the registration process. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business trip, family emergency, illness, pregnancy, etc.
